Account Deletion Guide

Follow the steps below to permanently delete your TradeLift account and all associated data.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone

Once your account is deleted, all your data—including trade history, listings, messages, and profile information—will be permanently removed from our servers. You will not be able to recover your account.

How to Delete Your Account

Open TradeLift App

Launch the TradeLift app on your device and make sure you are logged into the account you wish to delete.

Navigate to Settings

Tap on your profile icon in the bottom navigation bar, then tap the settings gear icon in the top-right corner.

Go to Account Settings

Scroll down and tap on "Account" to access your account management options.

Select "Delete Account"

Scroll to the bottom of the Account page and tap the "Delete Account" button, highlighted in red.

Confirm Your Identity

For security, you may be asked to re-enter your password or verify your identity via a confirmation code sent to your registered email or phone number.

Confirm Deletion

Review the summary of what will be deleted, then tap "Permanently Delete My Account" to finalize the process. Your account and data will be scheduled for deletion.

What Happens After Deletion

Data Permanently Removed

Your profile, trade history, listings, saved items, and messages will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

No Access to Account

You will be immediately logged out and will no longer be able to access your account or any associated data.

30-Day Grace Period

Some data may be retained for up to 30 days to fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

Email Unlinked

Your email address will be unlinked and can be used to create a new account in the future, if desired.

Fresh Start Available

After deletion, you're welcome to create a brand-new TradeLift account at any time. Previous data will not be recoverable.

Anonymized Analytics

Fully anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once your account is permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered. All associated data is irreversibly removed from our systems. Please make sure you truly wish to delete your account before proceeding.
Your account access is revoked immediately. Complete data removal from our servers, including all backups, is completed within 30 days of your deletion request.
If you cannot log in to your account, please contact our support team at support@tradelift.app. After verifying your identity, we can process your account deletion request on your behalf.
Yes. All your active listings, drafts, and saved items will be removed immediately when your account is deleted. Any pending transactions will be cancelled.
Yes. Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your data by going to Settings → Account → Download My Data. We recommend doing this before initiating the deletion process.
